Bundh is cabbage and chhok bundh is the name give to a preparation made out of cabbage and tamarind water. This is a very popular item and can be enjoyed with chapatti or rice.
- 1 pc. cabbage chopped,
- ½ cup of tamarind water,
- 1 pinch of asafetida,
- 1 teaspoon of cumin,
- ½ teaspoon of red chili powder,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- Mustard oil for cooking.
Remove and then serve with chapatti.
- Heat mustard oil in a frying pan and add cumin, red chili powder and salt to it.
- Add the cabbage and then cook for some time till it becomes softened.
- Add the tamarind water and then cook with lids closed.
