  • 2 ½ lbs. of chicken (chopped into medium sized pieces),
  • 1 cup of coconut milk,
  • ½ cup of blended onions,
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds,
  • 1 stream of curry leaves,
  • Coconut oil for cooking,
  • 1/3 cup of curd (battered),
  • ¾ teaspoon of ginger garlic paste,
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper (roughly grinded),
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala,
  • Coconut oil for cooking,
  • 3-4 green chilies.


  1. Marinate the chicken with salt and ginger garlic paste and keep for 10 minutes.
  2. Add coconut oil in a frying pan. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves; allow blistering,
  3. Add the onion paste in the frying pan; add the ginger garlic paste to it.
  4. Add the chicken and cook in slow fire for some time. Add the battered curd, stir and add the garam masala to it.
  5. Add salt and then the coconut milk to it. Cook till the chicken softens and the gravy becomes an even content.
  6. Add the slit green chilies and then for a few minutes.
